Changes

I've been back in Florida for a few days now, and we will be starting the journey back to Germany tomorrow.  I have so many pictures to post, and so many things to share!  This has been a wonderful, if exhausting, trip.  At this point I am ready to get back to our space and relax, and I think Brandon and Elora are too.

She dozed off in the time it took for Brandon to get a shower.
He showers fast.

It's weird though, because I accidentally don't have a job any more.  It's kind of a long story, but the short of it is that I'm no longer working at the craft shop on base.  It makes me sad every time I think about it. I keep talking about "the shop where I work", but I stumble over the words because I don't actually work there any more.   It's going to take a lot of getting used to, and I don't think it will sink in until I get back and realize I don't need to go in to work.

I'm wondering, though, if maybe it isn't a blessing in disguise.  Sara --who has been my best friend since forever-- will finally be coming out to visit in August, and then we should be packing out and PCSing in September, if Brandon gets his orders and we move when we expect to.  I have a ton of projects to do, everything from sewing to pottery-painting, and this will give me the time to get them done.  It will give me time to get myself organized for the move, and to begin packing the things that I won't trust to the movers.  It's the beginning of the changes.

  1. Have you ever looked into sewing cloth diapers? I'm switching to cloth (well ill be using disposables when I'm out and about) but I need the covers and ill be buying them from actual people, not just a company :-) if you ever got into doing them, I'd buy yours!!

  3. Glad you've been able to see the bright side to the oopsie. I do think that this will be better in the long run for you. Not for us, but for you. Hope we see you soon.

  5. Uh ... yeah. The other day when they asked for your ID card I was like but she's not leaving until Sept and she said, no July 1st and I said :(

But you'll come see us all the time right? Of course this may give you more time to make jewelry, which I will be compelled to buy, and then you'll still be getting a paycheck! Haha!
